FACIS Digital Contracting Service – Architecture and Requirements Workshop

HeaderWebsite_FACIS(3)

The aim of this workshop is to present the information acquired and the analyses carried out to evolve the XFSC Data Contracting Service into a more extensive and complete service for digital contracting.

For this expansion, the core features and their value proposition are identified in the initial phase of the project, including multi-contract signing, machine signing, automated contract workflows, and lifecycle management. Based on the targeted core features, the essential architectural components of the system have been defined conceptually, namely the Template Repository, the Contract Workflow Engine, Signature Management, Contract Storage and Archive and Process Audit and Compliance Management. The workshop aims to present these components and integration with the existing XFSC system components, and inform the audience regarding their essential functions, key functional and non-functional requirements, key roles in Digital Contracting Service and the scenarios that need to be realized inside the proposed architecture.

During the workshop we will jointly discuss generic Digital Contracting Service Requirements – like:

  • Core features and key value proposition of Digital Contracting Service
  • Refine the concept and clearly identify the next steps in Digital Contracting Service specification development
  • Integration of contract negotiation protocols, SSI wallets for authentication, and open-source models for future development
  • Consider the key legal compliance requirements that need to be addressed in the Digital Contracting Service specifications (eIDAS and other regulations)

Digital Contracting Service Architecture considerations & decision-making:

  • Different options in defining optional vs. mandatory features
  • Different options in signature management (e.g., managing Multiple Signature Scenarios)
  • Different options in managing human & machine signing
  • Different options in component integration strategy
