FACIS Launches New Tenders

As part of our mission within the 8ra initiative to build a resilient, interoperable, and trusted European digital infrastructure, FACIS is pleased to announce the launch of five tenders in November 2025. Interested candidates are invited to submit their offers and become part of this important initiative. The tenders include the following:

  • Digital Contracting Service (DCS)
  • Federated Catalogue Enhancements
  • Federation Architecture Pattern (FAP) IoT & AI
  • EasyStack Builder ICAM
  • FAP Decentralized Catalogue Management (DCM)

Tender | Digital Contracting Service (DCS)

After refining the specifications and tender documents from the previous tender procedure, we have officially restarted the tender for the Digital Contracting Service (DCS). The DCS will be a Free and Open Source Software solution enabling automated, secure, and legally compliant digital contracting across sovereign IT environments. It is designed for multi-party and multilateral contracting, supporting dynamic service orchestration in federated cloud and edge infrastructures.

Submissions will be accepted until 09 December 2025 (tender already closed) >>

Tender | Federated Catalogue Enhancements (FCE)

We also launched the tender for the enhancement of the Eclipse XFSC Federated Catalogue (CAT). These enhancements aim to evolve the CAT into a more lightweight, flexible, and broadly applicable tool for trustworthy metadata management. By modernizing the architecture and removing Gaia-X-specific constraints, the improved Catalogue will support a wider range of federated workflows and digital ecosystems across Europe.

Submissions will be accepted until 11 December 2025 (tender already closed) >>

Tender | Federation Architecture Pattern (FAP) IoT & AI

FACIS’s FAPs serve as reusable architectural reference models for cross-border and cross-domain digital collaboration. One of them, the FAP IoT & AI, covers the setup, design, and demonstration of a secure, end-to-end, and federated data-processing chain. This includes IoT-based data collection, data exchange via data-space connectors, storage and aggregation within a data-lake concept, and analysis using AI-based methods, including visualizable evaluation results.

Submissions will be accepted until 10 December 2025  (tender already closed) >>

Tender | EasyStack Builder ICAM

To advance scalable and interoperable federation infrastructures, the project further develops the EasyStack Builder (ESB), the FACIS automation framework for deploying federated services across diverse cloud environments. ESB provides the automation layer required to deploy future FAPs efficiently and consistently, independent of the target platform, and already includes reusable deployment configurations for clouds such as T-Systems Open Sovereign Cloud, IONOS DCD, and STACKIT Cloud. This tender extends ESB with Builder modules for Identity, Credentialing, Authentication, and Management (ICAM). These modules automate the deployment, configuration, and verification of essential ICAM services – including XFSC OCM, PCM, Trust Services, and Authentication/Authorization.

Submissions will be accepted until 12 December 2025 (tender already closed) >>

Tender | FAP Decentralized Catalogue Management (DCM)

The FAP DCM enables trusted, cross-catalogue discovery and representation of digital services and resources in federated environments. It addresses a core challenge of federated ecosystems: fragmented, siloed service and resource catalogues. Its goal is to support cross-catalogue discovery, comparison, and integration of digital offerings – such as cloud services, data-space services, or product passports – without requiring centralization.

Submissions will be accepted until 15 December 2025 >>
