SLA Governance Framework for Secure and Reliable Cross-Border Cloud Services

FACIS hosted an event in Berlin to present the project’s latest achievements and discuss the future of multi-provider SLA governance in Europe. Participants from industry, research, and public institutions came together to exchange perspectives on trusted digital ecosystems and cross-border service management.

During the event, FACIS presented the first common European framework for multi-provider SLA management and outlined the next steps of the project. The discussions also highlighted Europe’s role in creating secure, interoperable, and resilient digital infrastructures.

FACIS | SLA Taxonomy in Federated Ecosystems

This session provided a detailed presentation of the taxonomy, introducing its structure, key components, and underlying concepts. Building on this foundation, Prof. Dr. Sebastian Lins explained how the taxonomy connects to the results of the SLA Playbook and supports the development of a common approach to SLA governance. The presentation concluded with further insights and recommendations.

FACIS | The SLA Governance Framework Playbook

Dr. Bahne Sievers showcased a detailed overview of the SLA Governance Framework. The presentation explored the challenges and requirements associated with multi-provider SLA management, outlining the underlying methodology as well as the analytical approaches used throughout the project. It also highlighted the framework’s key results and insights, demonstrating how the proposed governance model can support greater transparency, consistency, and legal certainty across complex digital service ecosystems.
